The inaugural event in the Dr. Fred Gilbert Speaker Series on October 6th features Acadia Honorary Degree recipient Dr. Hans-Otto Pörtner (’22), who will be speaking on ‘Climate change is ocean change: a physiologist’s view’.
Acadia University is the first in Canada to achieve an Organic Campus designation from the Canada Organic Trade Association. The certification was awarded during Organic Week activities held at the University, located in Mi’kma’ki, Wolfville, Nova Scotia, from September 12-18, 2022.
Wolfville, NS - Acadia is participating in a national campaign, called No Mow May, in partnership with the Blomidon Naturalists Society. The campaign calls for land and homeowners to delay mowing in the spring to support pollinators.
