Funding from the Federal and Provincial governments announced recently will be used to renovate and upgrade Huggins Science Hall and Elliott Hall, two older buildings that are part of Acadia University’s Science Complex. The upgrades will promote intensified research and commercialization activities at the Science Complex, while also improving the buildings’ energy use and efficiency.
The Acadia Community Farm received a $1000 grant from the Town of Wolfville’s Community Partnership Grant Program. The program provides financial assistance to non-profit organizations or registered charities that operate facilities and organize programs used by residents of the Town.

Registration is now open for the spring course in Sustainable Food Systems and Community Development. The course runs from May 24th to June 10th from 9am-12pm Monday to Friday. This hands on course offered in partnership with the Acadia Community Farm will explore food security, community food systems and other topics as they relate to broader community development themes.
