Registration is now open for the spring course in Sustainable Food Systems and Community Development. The course runs from May 24th to June 10th from 9am-12pm Monday to Friday. This hands on course offered in partnership with the Acadia Community Farm will explore food security, community food systems and other topics as they relate to broader community development themes.  Visit Open Acadia for more information and to register.

Collection for the Acadia Dump and Run begins Monday May 2nd through to Friday May 6th. Items for donation can be delivered to the Acadia Athletic Complex lower west doors between 1pm-7pm. The event will be held Saturday May 7th from 9am-1pm. All proceeds are donated to participating community groups, local charities and campus clubs.  Visit Dump and Run for more information.  

Acadia graduating student Sadie Moland recently received the Lois Vallely-Fischer Award for Democratic Student Citizenship from the Acadia University Faculty Association. This award is presented to a student in her or his final year of undergraduate study at Acadia. Sadie donated a portion of the award, an amount of $1000 to the Acadia Community Farm.
