All Day: Geocaching Pursuit: Biodiversity Edition & Bonfire (7:30PM)

Put your navigation skills and knowledge to the test as you locate and solve clues, collecting points along the way!  Teams will be competing for multiple prizes which will be awarded at our grand finale bonfire! For more information and to register as a 4 person team or individual, find us Monday evening at the Wheelock Dining Hall entrance or sign up on our facebook page @Geocaching Pursuit:  Biodiversity Edition. Bonfire starts at 7:30 pm (weather permitting).

6:30 pm Masterchef Acadia

Join us for an evening of intense competition and delicious food. In celebration of sustainability week on campus, Sharing Great Food will be serving up their first meal of the year, and it’s free! Student Teams will go head to head in an intense cooking competition for a chance to win prizes and be crowned Acadia’s first ever Master Chef! Video submissions to join the competition will be accepted through Facebook and Instagram. #masterchefacadia.

11:30 am Campus Energy Savings Contest

What do you think is the best method of saving energy on campus? Offer ideas on large or small initiatives, programs, events, or any other initiatives you believe will reduce Acadia's campus energy use. The most creative and implementable idea will be selected and suggested to Acadia's Sustainability Coordinator for actual implementation on campus. 10:00 am-4:00 pm Sustainable Communities Poster Exhibit

Posters created by students in Community Development will be on display in the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre throughout the day. Featured themes include volunteerism and social capital, active transportation, community energy planning, and waste management.

Friday October 30

1:00 pm-4:00 pm Campus Clean-up Competition

Join us for a friendly competition to clean up litter around the Acadia campus. Find us on Facebook for more information and to sign up a team. 

Location: Meet at the Student Union Building

3:00 pm Fall Ride Along Revamped

Learn the importance of active transportation, and how to fix minor repairs that includes a flat tire. In addition to the workshop, participants are invited to join a community bike ride that departs the Clock Park, at 4pm. If you are unable to attend the workshop, meet the group at the Clock Park entrance. To make things interesting dress up for Halloween early and join us for a “Haunted” Community Bike Ride! Costumes Encouraged!
